Christmas Under the Clocktower
This holiday season, Jacob’s Chance is excited to once again participate in Christmas Under the Clocktower—a beloved Richmond tradition that brings nonprofits and the community together in a festive, meaningful way.
Voting opens December 7 and runs through December 21, and we’d love your support as you explore this year’s beautifully decorated trees. To vote, you can donate through the Christmas Under the Clocktower link we will post on our website.
Every dollar donated counts as 1 vote to win!
Our tree's theme this year is “Jacob’s Chance: A Community that Feels Like Home.” To bring the theme to life, our tree will feature house ornaments hand-painted by our participants. We’re also inviting the community to join in by decorating the tree with heart-shaped ornaments, where you can write your answer to the question:
“Where do you feel at home in your community?”
We hope you’ll stop by, add your heart to our tree, and help celebrate the sense of belonging that makes Jacob’s Chance feel like home for so many.

Join us and indulge in tapas-style dishes created by Richmond’s top chefs teamed up with graduates of our Restaurant Ready culinary arts program. Enjoy a selection of refined small plates, refreshing beverages, live music by Crowded Minds, a silent auction, and a paddle raise, and hear how your support transforms lives in our community. Don’t miss this night of flavors, fun, and impact!

Thanksgiving Pie Challenge - aka the Giving Tuesday Staff Challenge!
From Thanksgiving Day through Giving Tuesday, each staff member had five days to raise $3,000 in support of our mission. And because it’s Thanksgiving… the stakes were deliciously high. Anyone who didn't reach their goal got pied in the face at the end of Day 5!

We are overwhelmed with the support we receiving during our 5-day Giving Tuesday Thanksgiving Pie Staff Challenge!

YOU raised a total of $11,213 in just 5 days, which will all go towards supporting life-changing programs for our participants in 2026. Even though we might've thrown a few pies, knowing that every dollar makes a difference was worth having a little whipped cream up our noses. Thank you to everyone who donated to the challenge - we are so grateful to be surrounded by such an incredible community!
