We believe everyone deserves the chance to feel included in a social setting. In our social groups, individuals of all abilities are invited to join and experience a place where everyone is not only welcomed, but celebrated.

The Adult
Hangout

High school grads through age 40

The Adult Hangout is an adult social group that encourages relationship building, independence, and socialization between high school graduates up to age 40 with intellectual, developmental, and/or physical disabilities. Monthly gatherings are held at various locations around the metro Richmond area. Participation costs are minimal, and financial assistance is always available.

October Adult Hangout: Ghouls Night Out!
Registration open through September 29th (or until at capacity)

Grab your blankets and get ready for a spooky-fun night under the stars! We’ll be roasting marshmallows and making gooey s’mores by the fire, then getting comfy to watch Hotel Transylvania on the big screen outside. If you’re feeling festive, throw on a Halloween costume- totally optional, but always fun!

 

Unless a caregiver is needing to stay with your participant for additional support, this is a drop off event due to limited parking!

Location: Jacob's Chance Office - Jacob's House (1707 Westover Hills Boulevard, Richmond, VA 23225)

October Teen Scene: Halloween Party!
Registration open through October 7th (or until at capacity)

Join us for a spooktacular Halloween Party! This afternoon will be filled with themed crafts, snacks, games, and fun! You are welcome to wear a Halloween costume if you'd like! 

Location: Belmont Rec Center

The Teen Scene provides inclusive monthly social events for teens ages 13 through high school. The gatherings are planned by a group of peers that belong to the Teen Board of Directors. Monthly gatherings are held at various locations around the metro Richmond area. Participation costs are minimal and financial assistance is always available.

Join us for our first Teen Scene event of the school year! Enjoy spending time with your teen friends while playing putt putt off Patterson!

3G - Guys, Gals, and Games
Registration open through September 1st (or until at capacity)

3G - Guys, Gals,
and Games

Ages 13-40

3G is a weekly social group focused on providing opportunities for socializing, relationship building, and disability acceptance. We come together each week to play card games, board games, build Legos, draw, color, or just hang out! Led by Andrew and with volunteers of a variety of ages helping out, friends of all abilities are welcome to come each week to hang out and make new friends!
