This is a story that highlights the inclusivity of our Day Enrichment program and showcases how Jacob’s Chance is truly a family that gives everyone a chance to Thrive!

Vivi Rice is 23 years old and started Day Enrichment earlier this year, participating in programs with her father Jim. After transitioning from school, they found themselves looking for ways to keep their daughter active and connected in a supportive environment that can also adapt to her needs. Vivi requires one-on-one support for daily tasks and came to Day Enrichment not knowing what to expect.

What happened, as Jim describes, “was an unforgettable experience at the program, which was so different from anything we’ve encountered before—truly interactive and engaging. The staff and volunteers are amazing—Brooke, Cat, Will, and Susan make every interaction warm and welcoming. They’ve fostered a family-like environment where everyone feels included, whether they’re new or seasoned participants”.

Jim is blown away by the personalized attention and the level of engagement that Jacob’s Chance provides. The program’s unique offerings have allowed Vivi to explore her interests, especially in music, where she often showcases her rhythm playing the bongos! She loves being around her peers and engages joyfully in a variety of activities, from music with Andrew to cooking.
